Many modern CNC shops use these older knee and production milling machines for heavy roughing and gang milling cuts on castings, forgings, plate and billet stock, thus prolonging the life of their expensive CNC machines for accurate finishing operations. We have supplied many sound used castings that are no longer available from the OEM, as the patterns have long since been scrapped by the factory. These type parts include overarm arbor supports, handwheels, levers, pumps, knees, tables and other items. All used parts are cleaned with the glass bead process and carefully inspected before shipment, and ready availability avoids long lead times in getting a machine operational again.
